The light weight, yet powerful dryer has a 360 degree adjustable, bendable drying tube to direct heated air where it’s needed as you have both of your hands to brush the coat. There are three easy touch button controls: a on/off button, a fan with three speeds (low, medium, high), and four heat options (no heat, light, medium, and high). It maintains a set temperature even if you change the air volume. There’s also a 30 minute auto shut-off feature. What I love about this dryer is that it’s quieter than most dryers, even on the highest fan speed. For mobile groomers who have no space for a stand up dryer in their van, this is a perfect alternative.
I have seen the DUZ dryer at a few pet industry trade shows in the past and I was initially impressed by the design and what it claims it can do. So when the company reached out to partner with us on their dryer, I was super excited to give it a go! I, and many other groomers, have a lot of pups in our mobile grooming salon who do not like high velocity dryers due to the loud noise and the high pressure of the air drying straight into their face. We get it; I’m sure we are also all uncomfortable when the blow dryer hits our own face at a salon.
This dryer is more suited for small dogs and works really well with puppies! It is a perfect tool to introduce to puppies who are new to the grooming process. A big dog would still need a high velocity dryer or a cage dryer to fully get the coat dry. I find that the dog needs to be pretty close to the dryer in order for it to be effective. I highly recommend using the DUZ dryer when it comes to ears, tails, and faces, I can now brush and fluff up the face a lot easier with more ease and control. My clients that are scared of my normal blow dryer don’t seem to mind the DUZ. I love how the hose stays where you aim it, and how lightweight and easy it is to move. Also, it takes up no space compared to a traditional stand up dryer. It’s really nice to have one hand to hold the dog and one to brush/comb while the air is aimed at the pup.
